So much fun at the zoo!!!

Thad took Jacey to the zoo this past week. Although they were both disappointed at the lack of animals there, she still had a lot of fun :-) She loved the elephant and the monkey's but wasn't so sure about the flamingo's :-)

Jacey was very excited to wake up on Easter morning and find her basket. She loved the rabbit food the best (Reese's pieces) :-)

Jacey had such a good time this Easter. She got to go to Grandma and Grandpa Mason's on Saturday and hunt for eggs and then get up on Sunday and do it all over again at Grandma Skousen's house :-) She now looks for treats inside any eggs she see's :-)

All about Jacey

Faith, my cousin's daughter, tagged Jacey so I get to say 8 wonderful things about her :-)

1.) Jacey loves to give kisses. If I'm still sleeping when she gets up, she'll come into my room and give me a big kiss on the cheek to wake me up :-) I'm really afraid of what's going to happen when she starts hanging around more boys.
2.) She loves animals, especially dogs and horses. We have a bulldog named Sassy and Jacey is obsessed with her. She wakes up every morning calling out for Sassy (who of course is outside). Whenever she sees a horse or pony she wants to ride it or at the very least pet it :-)
3.) Like Faith, Jacey love, love, loves to watch movies. That's probably my fault since I've been sick and she's been forced to stay inside with me all day. She would rather watch a movie, than cartoons. Some of her favorites are The Wizard of Oz and Mary Poppins.
4.) She is obsessed with Barney, to Thad's dismay. She has to watch Barney at least (usually much more) once a day and she also has a Barney CD that she insists on listening to in the car.
5.) She is very smart. She talks as much as she can but even though she doesn't speak perfectly you know she understands perfectly. Especially when it's something she's not supposed to do. She is very good about telling me when she's wet or messed her diaper, even if I don't want to know :-) I'll tell her not to do something and she'll smile and run as fast as she can to go do that very thing. I can tell her to do almost anything and she'll know exactly what I'm talking about and go do it. She's my personal little maid :-) J/K
6.) She loves all things sugar (of course). Unfortunately her Daddy gives her pretty much anything she wants. She walks around the house all day saying "Treat", "Treat". I'm the bad guy in the house and he of course is the good guy :-(
7.) Jacey started walking at 9 months old and started running almost immediately there after. She loves to run and runs everywhere. Thad will take her to the park and she will seriously just run for an hour straight. I think we have a little track star on our hands :-)
8.) She is the best little girl ever. I never had any problems with her when she was little and just like Faith, everyone always said what a great baby she was. She's still great but is slowly heading into the terrible two's. She loves to push Mommy's buttons but is very quick to say she is sorry and give me a big hug and a kiss.

Lehi Days

Yesterday was "Lehi Days" which is basically a big mormon rodeo down in Lehi. I attempted to get Jacey dressed up as a cowgirl so her dad could take her; however, the only cowgirl thing about her was her boots :-) She had such a blast with her dad. She got to ride the ponies, and cried when she had to get off. She also got to play with the bunnies, goats, chickents, etc... Thad invited our neighbors to go and Jacey loved watching them chase the greased piggies. If it were up to Jacey we'd live on a farm :-) She's currently trying to convice grandpa Mason to buy her a pony :-)

Potty Training?

So, I decided that one of these days I'm going to make an attempt at potty training. I saw this Elmo or as Jacey calls him "Melmo" seat and couldn't resist. So far she just thinks it's another toy :-)
