Vertuccio Farms

A few weeks ago we took the Young Men and Women from church to Vertuccio Farms to
do the corn maze. I took the kids with me and they had a blast.

We attempted to do the corn maze but unfortunately it wasn't very stroller friendly :-(

They had this little train ride for the kids and Jacey loved it!!!!

Playing around in the bouncer

For some reason Jacey wasn't so thrilled with the trikes

Chillin with dad

Keely saw the train, jumped off Thad's lap, ran over and tried to get in.
She was so excited to ride the train. Too bad Mommy had to ride with her :-)

Riding the trike

Milking the cow

Holy cow the go carts were fun!!!

Pinetop

After a rough weekend when Gina called and asked me to come up to the cabin to visit her I jumped at the chance. We only stayed a few days but the weather was awesome and the kiddos had a blast.

Skyler was so anxious to eat lunch that he grabbed the bag of hot dogs out of the fridge and started passing them out to all the kids. (Better them than me)

Keely and Blaine had a fun time chasing after eachother

My mom took the older kids on a walk/run and they loved it!!!

The kids turned this broken fence in to a teeter-totter

Just the girls :-)

Keely waiving to all the kids

My beautiful girl

We took them to the park down the street from the cabin and Keely & Jacey couldn't get
enough of the swings

and the slide...

Happy Anniversary to me!!!

When I bought my house eight years ago every room (but the kitchen) in the house was covered in pink carpet, even the bathrooms. It was the ugliest carpet I'd ever seen. Little by little the pink carpet was replaced throughout the house. Every room that is but my bedroom. When Thad and I were first married I already owned an entire bedroom set. Unfortunately it was a queen bed and we discovered very quickly that it just wasn't big enough. We both like our space :-) So, we moved that bed to my mom's and got new King mattresses. Just the mattress and box spring, no bed set :-( Thad is known for being somewhat of a piggly wiggly and at one point I had to get rid of the rails the mattress was on due to the amount of "junk" he kept piling under the bed. So for way too long we had been sleeping "on the floor" in a room surrounded by ugly, dirty, pink carpet :-( After much begging, pleading and bribing Thad finally agreed that for our 5 year anniversary I could get the bed frame I'd been dying to get. Of course he followed that with, "Just the bed, no need to go over board and get the whole set", hence the miss-matched dresser. I wasn't going to push my luck :-) I figured that since we were re-doing the bed, etc... we might as well re-do the whole room. So, last weekend the room was re-painted, re-carpeted and re-done. Halle-freakin-lujah!!!!!!! You can't tell by the pictures but we got a smoking deal on a carpet remnant and it is so soft and squishy. Jacey kept wanting to play ring around the rosies on the carpet before the furniture was put in.
The pictures really don't do it justice and the room was way to ugly to take "before" photos. I am just sooo happy to have at least gotten one room of the house looking new :-)

I love how high the bed is because it's harder for the kids to get up and I can shove all my food storage underneath it :-)

Don't ask me why we bought the matching step stool. Keely's favorite new "toy".

The girls love the new bed to :-)

Anyone ever had Schwan's ice cream cones??? I bought these rocky road ones and Keely saw me eating it and threw a fit. I finally just gave up and gave it to her. This was her very first ice cream cone and she just couldn't get enough of it.

She's obsessed with sunglasses

Our neighbors tortoises had babies. After finding them all in the street and under cars and returning them (most of them anyway) to their owners we were lucky enough to be able to keep two of them. Jacey just loves her new pets.

She named them Tink (short for Tinkerbell) and Chunk (from Goonies). Don't ask :-)
